Expansion Covers Greater Geographic Area, Enhances
Product Offering and Offers Convenient Locations on I-4, I-95 and I-75.
July 2, 2007 (Bowling Green, KY) Camping World, America's largest retailer of RV and outdoor supplies, accessories and Recreational Vehicles, today announced that it will significantly expand its retail operations in Florida in order to meet growing demand for its products and services. While that demand is partially satisfied by the highly successful Camping World locations in St. Augustine, Tallahassee and Gulf Breeze, the company has determined that the market demand is considerably larger and is moving to swiftly meet it.
The expansion will be focused on central and southeastern Florida where FreedomRoads has signed letters of intent and contracted for the construction of four Camping World facilities including:
Camping World of Ocala, Florida on I-75. This location will cover the market on the western coast of Florida to Ocala/Gainesville/Leesburg and the northwest quadrant of Central Florida
Camping World of Melbourne, Florida on I-95 which will cover the market from Daytona to West Palm Beach/Okeechobee, the I-95 corridor, the eastern quadrant of Orlando and eastern Florida
Camping World of Greater Orlando/Central Florida I-4 area (Relocation of existing Kissimmee SuperCenter) on I-4, 8 miles south of Kissimmee, Florida which will be Camping World's single largest store at over 40,000 square feet.
Camping World of Panama City on Highway 98, east side of Panama City
All four new locations will be open in 2008 and will feature the sale of recreational vehicles and full, comprehensive service centers.
The company currently operates an RV dealership in Clermont with a smaller satellite Camping World store inside. This location will temporarily relocate in mid-July to the Kissimmee SuperCenter and reopen in Ocala in 2008. The company will service all Clermont customers through the following locations at St. Augustine (600 Belz Outlet Blvd. phone 904-486-9070), Kissimmee (5175 W. Highway 192 phone 407-396-2600) and at the other existing Florida Camping World locations including Fort Myers, Tampa, Gulf Breeze, and Tallahassee.
The new Kissimmee/Greater Orlando SuperCenter will be 30% larger in square feet than the current store in order to bring in new products and offerings to meet the demands of the ever changing RV and outdoor market. It will be Camping World's flagship accessory store bringing Florida residents a wide range of the latest, most innovative RV and outdoor accessories. It will also serve millions of travelers who come to the area to enjoy Walt Disney World, Sea World and other area attractions.
"This move and significant investment underscores the company's commitment to the Florida market," said Camping World & FreedomRoads Chairman and CEO Marcus Lemonis. "Our increasing brand popularity gives us great confidence that these new stores will be highly successful. Our site selection along major highways for easy store customer access will be a factor in our success."
